This past week has been a stark reminder of just how broken our country is.

Friends,

This past week has been a stark reminder of just how broken

our country is. The senseless murder of George Floyd

highlights the urgency of the moment. We need change. For too

long we have “pushed the conversion” without real change. We

stand in solidarity with the thousands of protestors who are done

simply moving the needle. It is time to act!

Although the presidential election this year is important, let's be

honest with ourselves. Joe Biden is not the change we need.

Joe Biden doesn’t even push the needle. His presidency would

be a return to status quo politics. I think we can all agree that

there is no place for the ‘status quo’ right now.

However, there is hope!

In 23 days we have the chance to make real change. The

protests must only be the beginning. Our collective outrage and

frustration is critical, but needs to be followed up by lasting policy

change. It is not enough to call for justice in an unjust system.

We must change the system entirely, otherwise this injustice will

only continue.

The status-quo will not provide change.

The proof of this is clear. The list of unarmed Black Americans

murdered by cops only grows longer year after year. How many

people need to be murdered by the system for America to make

real change?

Now is the time.

We need legislators who will fight for change. We need

legislators to break up police unions, overturn “Qualified

immunity,” and fight to break this system of oppression. We are

done pushing the conversation. It is time to act and that means

electing better representation.

In 23 days we have the chance to elect representatives who will

truly fight the status quo and make real change. Help us turn

this moment into action. Contribute to our campaign for

change!

The time for change is now, and we can’t do it alone.

Help us win this election and change the status-quo.
