At Country First, we firmly believe that America’s foreign policy reflects our values as a nation and defines who we are at home.

This past week, the Trump Administration showed its hand on Ukraine—and it’s exactly what we feared.

Following Secretary of Defense Hegseth’s remarks and reports of Trump’s call with Putin, it is crystal clear that this administration is ready and willing to throw Ukraine under the bus.

In a 90-minute phone call, Trump worked to undo three years of American support for Ukraine, signaling that he is prepared to appease Putin’s unlawful aggression towards a Sovereign country

And let’s be clear: All this MAGA talk about "avoiding World War III" is nonsense.
🚨 No American troops have been sent to Ukraine.
🚨 No allied country has deployed troops.
🚨 The only real threat comes from failing to stop Putin’s aggression.

How Did We Get Here?

Vladimir Putin is obsessed with reviving the USSR and illegally invaded a democratic nation that posed ZERO threat to Russia. This is not a "conflict” it is an act of pure aggression against democracy itself.

The Bottom Line:

Any negotiation must include Ukraine and our European allies. This cannot be a backroom deal between Trump and Putin. Trump has proven time and again that Putin runs circles around him—we cannot allow America’s foreign policy to be dictated by Putin.

Country First has been on the front lines of standing up with Ukraine.  We recently received overwhelming responses from Members interested in volunteer work in Ukraine and we are in the process of working with our NGO contacts on the next steps.

Show your support for Ukraine by adding your name to the Stand with Ukraine Petition and support Ukraine against Russia’s illegal war and reject any attempts by the Trump Administration to appease Putin or weaken U.S. support.

Now is the time to act. Stand with Ukraine. Stand for democracy. Make your voice heard.
