ACLU Supporter, did you see this urgent update? Guantánamo Bay has long been a place of injustice – intentionally hidden from the public as a way to violate due process and detain refugees in inhumane conditions.

Now, President Trump is using the infamous prison to detain immigrants without access to lawyers, family, or the outside world. It's a human rights nightmare.

We're suing to protect immigrants' rights, but we need you with us in this fight, ACLU Supporter. Will you donate now to protect the rights of immigrants – and all of us – nationwide? <[link removed]>

Thank you,

The ACLU Team

ACLU Supporter, Donald Trump is using Guantánamo Bay to detain immigrants and serve as an arm of his mass deportation agenda. This is a human rights disaster – so we're suing to get the full story and protect immigrants' rights.

We can't fight back alone – will you donate now to help power this fight and protect all of our rights? <[link removed]>

This would be a shameful new chapter in the history of this infamous prison – continuing the disturbing American legacy of using Guantánamo Bay to carry out human rights abuses.

For decades, the U.S. government has used Guantánamo to detain people while denying them basic care and human rights.

But this is the first time ever that immigrants are being taken from U.S. soil and sent to Guantánamo. They are being held incommunicado – with no access to attorneys, their families, or the outside world. Meanwhile, information about Guantánamo is intentionally hidden from public view – so the government can use it as a legal black hole to violate immigrants' rights.

Trump plans to expand this already-inhumane practice and build a new massive immigrant detention facility to hold 30,000 people – posing a grave threat to immigrants and citizens alike.

We filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration to get the full story of what's happening at Guantánamo Bay and provide access to counsel for the immigrants sent to the notorious prison. The government cannot continue hiding human rights abuses in offshore detention centers – and all of us deserve dignity and a fair legal process.

If you're with us in this fight, donate now to help us continue defending the rights of immigrants – and all of us – across the country. <[link removed]>

This is the Trump administration's clearest signal yet that the rule of law means nothing to it. With your support, we're taking this to the courts to shut down this authoritarian power grab.

Thanks for all you do,
