🚨🚨Breaking news 🚨🚨: Trump and Musk’s vow to slash funding for our public media just got even more real. Republicans in both the House and the Senate are pushing forward bills to STOP all funding for NPR and PBS.
With a $30 million budget shortfall that’s already forced NPR to lay off staff and shut down podcasts, public media stations are not in a position to launch a massive campaign to save themselves.
But we are. Republicans have come for public media before, and public outcry has forced them to stand down. Now we need to do it again.
Our Revolution is already hard at work mobilizing record numbers and unleashing a huge lobbying push on Congress. But to win this fight, we’re going to need EVERYONE – will you add your name to send a message straight to Congress to save NPR and PBS?
It’s not surprising Republican members of Congress are piling on efforts to wipe out public media. “NO MORE FUNDING FOR NPR, A TOTAL SCAM!” Trump wrote on Truth Social last year. Musk is labeling public media as “propaganda” and has clear plans to cut hundreds of millions in funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds NPR and PBS.
 Then the FCC launched formal ‘investigations’ into NPR and PBS…and now Republicans in Congress are preparing a bill to COMPLETELY HALT funding for the public media stations.
It’s completely outrageous, but to actually pass the bill, Republicans will need almost unanimous support in Congress. This playbook had failed before — so this is a fight we can win.
We’re going all out to raise the temperature and make sure they ALL hear from thousands of constituents who believe in a public media so they know that a ‘yes’ vote is a risk they don’t want to take ahead of the midterms.
