Hey folks, Andy Beshear here, Governor of Kentucky and Vice Chair of the DGA. I am reaching out to you personally because I need your input.

The first month of the Republican trifecta in Washington has shown one thing clearly: Who your governor is matters more than it ever has.

My fellow Democratic governors are acting as the last line of defense standing up for our shared values and working to create a better future for each and every American.

But this fight is going to take all of us.

With more than three-quarters of our nation’s governors on the ballot over the next two years including key states like Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, this will be the most critical cycle for governors in recent memory.

That’s why I’m proud to be Vice Chair of the DGA for 2025 and Chair-Elect for 2026. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work to elect Democratic governors across the map. I am proof that by focusing on the everyday challenges of families and bringing people together, Democrats can win anywhere, even in so-called red states.

But with Republicans already gearing up, we have to formulate our strategy to win right now. It’s going to take hard work, critical resources, and most importantly, input from grassroots supporters like you.

As a second-term governor, Andy Beshear has a long record of accomplishments. He has restored voting rights to nearly 200,000 Kentuckians, secured low-cost health care for tens of thousands, had the best economic development year on record, and had the lowest unemployment rate in state history. He won his first election by just 5,136 votes and his second by 5 percentage points because Kentuckians and folks across the country know that he will work every day to make Americans lives better from jobs, to infrastructure, health care, public education and so much more.

Now he’s serving as DGA Vice Chair to continue the fight for progress by electing Democratic governors across the country.
