Introduced the Operation Lone Star Reimbursement Act

For four long years under the failed Biden-Harris administration, Texas was forced to take on the job of the federal government and spend billions of taxpayer dollars to protect our homes and communities from invasion. I want to thank Governor Abbott for defending our country in a time of crisis. It is time Texans are repaid for footing the bill for Biden’s failures at the border. As part of my commitment to deliver on the people’s November fifth mandate to get our nation back on track, I am proud to introduce the Operation Lone Star Reimbursement Act. This legislation allows the State of Texas to be reimbursed for the $11.1 billion they were forced to spend on national security efforts from 2021-2025. Small Business Committee Hearing

This week, I led a hearing examining SBA lending programs and the vital role of community banks. Under the Biden Administration, Main Street America endured stifling regulations, record inflation, and high interest rates that hindered the ability of small employers to hire workers, increase wages, and reinvest back into their businesses to spur growth. Thanks to the return of President Trump, a wave of pro-business optimism swept over the small business community. As Chairman, I am proud to work alongside the President to prioritize Main Street.
