Further to Laurie's email below, the feedback I hear every day is that Christopher Luxon needs to go harder if he is to get NZ 'back on track'.

And with the media focused on everything but getting New Zealand's spending under control and the economy back to growth, it's up to the Taxpayers' Union to fight the good fight.

So as 2025 ramps up, we can expect another tough year. We want your input as we formulate our campaign priorities so our limited resources are put to the best use.

Despite their election promises, this Coalition Government has accelerated Grant Robertson's spending, and is borrowing at an even faster rate! As a proportion of the economy, government spending has increased and there still isn't a credible path back to government surplus.

Put simply, the 'cuts' you read about in the media are simply not supported by the official numbers published by the Treasury.
