Democratic consultants convened for a retreat last month on how we can take back power. Their conclusion?  Democrats should abandon small-dollar donors in favor of big-money PACs, corporations, special interests, and lobbyists. 

Here’s the truth: Big-money PACs and political consultants are the problem, not the solution. 

We’ve watched ultra-wealthy special interests and corporations flood our elections for years, allowing them to drown out the voices of hardworking Americans advocating for change. The Democrats need to win back grassroots support, not forsake it.

I’ve never taken a cent of PAC money. I co-founded the No PAC Caucus and introduced a bill to ban all PAC and lobbyist money from Congress because I firmly believe that our government should work for the people—NOT big-money special interests.
