John,
Vote no, vote no, and vote no again. It’s that easy for Democrats to slow and stop Trump’s unconstitutional power grabs, and they ran out of excuses a long time ago. With a vote on Republicans’ disastrous government funding bill planned for this weekend,1 it’s time for Dems to grow a pair and play hardball with the tools at their disposal. Tell Congress: don’t comply, don’t negotiate, just vote no on everything.
DEMS NUT UP ALREADY
Trump’s chaotic flood of executive orders, nominees, and institutional meddling is intended to overwhelm and make us feel powerless. And while there are limits to what a Democratic minority can do, they’re not powerless. Presidential nominations, budget resolutions, and everyday Senate business proceedings all depend on Democrats maintaining business as usual.2 But they don’t have to play nice.
House Democrats have shown they know they can withhold votes for Trump’s disastrous agenda.3 Now, it’s time for them to do it again… and again and again. Tell lawmakers: block the Trump-negotiated budget this weekend, refuse all requests for unanimous consent, and take back our power.
TELL LAWMAKERS: DON'T COMPLY IN ADVANCE
Thanks for taking action, John. We need overwhelming pressure, especially on Senate Democrats, to get this done. Will you share this action at DontComplyWithTrump.com?
In solidarity,
Alex at Fight for the Future
