We’re a few days away from a potential government shutdown. It’s completely avoidable.

The Republicans in control of the House and the Senate, along with their billionaire donors, have:

➡️ Indiscriminately fired public servants

➡️ Undermined critical services

➡️ Caused enormous anxiety within the markets

Having been ranked one of the most independent members of Congress, my Republican colleagues know I’ll always work with them when it’s right for Ohio. But their plan will further cut healthcare, nutritional assistance for children and families, and veterans’ benefits. I will not support that.

I’m in DC, ready to help get this economy back in shape for hard-working people, not the Republicans’ big money donors. I’m fighting to make sure that SW Ohio doesn't lose out on crucial funds in order to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
