Hi there,

As you’ve likely noticed, there’s something changing in American culture…

From 1987 until 2012, there was such an insignificant shift in the idea that “women should return to their traditional role in society” that the Pew Research Center removed the question from their survey altogether.

However, according to the Views of the Electorate Research Survey, the percentage of Republican men who think women should return to their traditional gender roles has increased from 28% in May 2022 to 48% in November 2024.

Similar patterns are also evident around views of traditional masculinity. Three-fourths of Republicans (men and women) believe that changes in “what it means to be a man” have been bad for society. Meanwhile, as of 2024, 79% and 67% of Republican men and women, respectively, believe that our “society as a whole has become too soft and feminine.”

At Her Bold Move, we believe just the opposite. Having more women in our government would improve society – and, as studies have shown, even bring us closer to world peace. We refuse to go back to a time when women didn’t have autonomy in decisions about their own lives. Help support women running for office this year by chipping in $20.25 or more today. →

We want to make one thing clear: women should have the freedom to pursue absolutely any lifestyle they choose. But when society – or our government – impose limited lifestyle options on American women, that’s when we have cause for concern.

Many of our mothers and grandmothers remember a time when women couldn't even open their own credit cards or apply for high-paying jobs. None of the rights women have today were handed to us by the men in power. Women fought TIRELESSLY for them. They committed to never giving up and won SO MANY critical battles.

That’s why we need women in the rooms where decisions about our lives, our health, and our bodies are being made. We wouldn’t need to fight these battles if more of the people making laws were women. We need more women in government – we need more women lawmakers.

At Her Bold Move, we’re making that happen. But we need your help, <<Firstname/friend>>. Join us in our efforts to defend that hard-fought progress on behalf of our mothers, our grandmothers, our daughters, and our friends by ensuring women are always in the rooms where decisions are being made. Rush $20.25 or more right now.

Her Bold Move is the fastest-growing support network for women running for office in the United States. Since our founding in 2020, we have supported hundreds of pro-choice, pro-women women candidates across 42 states and counting. As abortion bans and other dangerous laws about women tend to get passed in states with the lowest representation numbers for women in government (4%, 11%, 12%....) we've made it our mission to break the anti-choice male supermajorities in those state legislatures.
