As Republicans continue to push for trillions in spending cuts in order to fund their tax breaks for billionaires, it just couldn’t be more clear: Their math isn’t adding up.

Take a look:

The GOP is pushing for over $4.5 trillion in tax cuts, but the entire domestic discretionary budget is only $917 billion. They could attempt to cut every federal program or fire every federal employee, but they still wouldn't even come close to $4.5 trillion.

Look, even a first-grader could tell you that $4.5 trillion is larger than $917 billion… so where is the additional money coming from? Well, here’s what Republicans aren’t telling you:

The only feasible way they can make up the difference is to come after your Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. And trust me, they will.

They’re not even trying to hide their disdain for these essential programs anymore. Elon Musk openly called Social Security a “Ponzi scheme” just last week. So whether it’s now or further down the road, it couldn’t be more clear that Republicans are coming for these programs… all in an attempt to line their own pockets.

Democrats need every single vote possible in the House to stand up against Republicans’ attempts to gut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. I’ll proudly vote against any legislation that aims to do so, but I won’t be able to stay here without your support. Will you stand with me today?
