Once again, Brittany Pettersen traveled across the country with her newborn son to cast a vote on House Republicans’ government funding bill.

Her vote? Hell. No.

We know that Brittany is ready and willing to support a commonsense, bipartisan solution to fund our government — but she’ll never agree to the devastating cuts House Republicans have proposed, including:

* Cutting $23 billion from care for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances.

* Cutting critical health care programs that kids, families, and seniors rely on to stay healthy.

* Slashing funding for affordable housing, potentially leading to more than 32,000 veterans, domestic violence survivors, seniors, and Americans with disabilities losing their homes.

Raising a six-week-old son is difficult. Raising a six-week-old son while crisscrossing the country to push back against Republican extremism is even more difficult.

And even though Republican leadership refuses to allow new parents like Brittany to vote by proxy, nothing will stop her from making sure our district’s voices and values are heard.

If you believe cutting veterans’ benefits, taking away health care, and evicting thousands of families from their homes is unacceptable, chip in today to help Brittany continue to fight back against this dangerous, partisan funding bill:
