Last week the House of Representatives introduced the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would update and strengthen key parts of the Voting Rights Act that the Supreme Court struck down in 2013.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would make it easier for eligible voters to access their freedom to vote , especially in places that have a proven history of erecting barriers to the ballot box for some citizens.
