Friends,

After 10 incredible years of hard work and sacrifice, I will be stepping down as chairwoman of the Democratic Party of Virginia, pending the election of a new chair.

But let me be clear: even though my time as chair is coming to an end, I will still be here. I will be here for the new chair. I will be here for each of you for whatever you need. And I will be there with you on November 4th when we celebrate victory together.

My goal is to send the party off on a strong footing by raising $25,000 towards our first end-of-quarter deadline. Can you chip in whatever you can to help me reach that goal?

When I announced my candidacy for chair back in 2015, I said I was running to help our party grow and maintain a strong infrastructure that would be sustainable regardless of any one election cycle. And thanks to y’all, we have done just that!

I am stepping down with pride knowing that the work we’ve done together has laid a foundation that will continue to keep Virginia blue for generations to come.

Our party is not defined by one person or one election. It is defined by the incredible leaders, organizers, and activists who are constantly strengthening local committees and building the grassroots movement that has helped us flip red seats and win key victories.

But our work is not done. The elections in Virginia this year will be some of the most important ones we’ve ever had, and your support is critical. So, can I count on you to chip in any amount to reach my $25,000 end-of-quarter goal as a farewell gift?
