Hi there,
Right now, we’re laser-focused on the April 1st [Wisconsin Supreme Court election]([link removed]) because of its massive national implications. It could shape the future of voting rights, fair maps, and even control of the U.S. House next year.
This race will be too close and the stakes are too high to ignore. And the choice couldn’t be clearer: we can help elect Judge Susan Crawford, who’s spent her career fighting for fair laws for everyday Wisconsinites, or cede the race to Brad Schimel — the most extreme candidate to ever run for this seat.
He’s backed by special interests, including Musk, who has a direct financial stake in Wisconsin law through Tesla. Schimel has worked with conservative legal groups to dismantle healthcare, ban abortion even in cases of rape and incest, and weaken protections for victims of sexual assault.
We can’t afford to sit this one out — not when we’re up against a billionaire with unlimited resources. But here’s the truth: Musk’s millions can’t out-organize the power of grassroots activism. If we win, it’ll send a clear message: Everyday people, not the world’s richest man, decide elections.
Here’s how you can make a real impact right now:
📞 Call Wisconsin voters. Many Wisconsin voters aren’t aware this race is happening. [Make calls now to help them make a plan to vote.]([link removed]) []([link removed])You can also register for our [National Phone Bank on March 30th]([link removed]) to make calls with other Swing Left volunteers.
💙 Donate. Your contribution goes directly to Judge Susan Crawford’s campaign to help power phone banks, canvasses, and voter outreach efforts that can tip the scales in this must-win election. [Give now]([link removed]).
And if you’re wondering why we aren’t prioritizing Florida’s special elections. The reason is simple: We put our resources where they’ll have the greatest impact. Both FL-01 and FL-06 are deeply Republican districts, where the GOP won by more than 30 points in 2024.
Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Supreme Court race is expected to be razor-thin — just like statewide elections there in the past. And with lower turnout in judicial elections, we can’t afford to take this race for granted. Grassroots action could be the deciding factor here. But it will take all of us working together.
We can do this. [Sign up to make calls, donate, and help win this fight]([link removed]).
Thank you for being in it with us.
