The Trump Administration is setting the stage for gun rights for prohibited purchasers – including convicted domestic abusers – to be restored on a large scale. While countless American lives would be put at risk, who benefits? The gun industry.
This is yet another example of Trump's loyalty to gun industry profits over the lives of every citizen in our country, and we will not remain silent while he blatantly disregards life-saving gun laws. Will you respond to Brady’s urgent poll now and show the president we won’t stand for deadly handouts to his criminal buddies:

That’s really the news today, friend. Trump wants to give his good friend Mel Gibson – a convicted domestic abuser – access to firearms. And when a Justice Department official objected, she was fired. She described the series of events that occurred behind closed doors as one that “put public safety and the department’s integrity at risk.”
Friend, this isn’t just about Trump trying to circumvent gun laws for his friends’ personal gain, this is part of a long term effort by the administration to allow guns in the hands of prohibited purchasers, including convicted domestic abusers.
|
This is almost certainly a plan bolstered by the gun industry, hoping to open up a market that was previously unavailable to them: People who can’t legally own firearms. This administration may tout being ‘tough on crime,’ but they are clearly only concerned with the gun industry’s bottom line.

We cannot accept a president who has the audacity to put gun industry profits over public safety. And we will not remain silent while the Trump Administration continues to undermine life-saving laws and precedent while making gun industry executives richer, please: Respond to Brady’s urgent poll now and make clear the opinion of the majority of Americans:

The truth is that putting guns in the hands of domestic abusers will lead to more death, friend. The mere presence of a firearm in a domestic violence situation increases the risk of a person being killed by 500%. Congress and even Trump’s packed Supreme Court agree that convicted domestic abusers should not have the right to possess a firearm.
I’m counting on grassroots activists to speak out today. If you agree with Congress and the Supreme Court, send a clear message to this administration NOW. >>
