I’ll be voting NO today on the partisan Republican funding bill.

Let me be clear: Republicans control the presidency, House, and Senate. If they fail to pass the funding bill, this is on them. They walked away from bipartisan discussions in favor of secret, closed-door meetings, now they own what’s next.

This potential shutdown is the culmination of the disastrous Trump-Musk agenda. Elon Musk’s DOGE – which I think really stands for Destruction of Government by Elon – is dismantling the government without Congressional approval or public debate.

If that’s not unconstitutional, I don’t know what is. Their proposed spending bill isn’t fiscal responsibility, it’s fiscal surrender and a blank check to continue gutting essential programs and ignoring the real problems our communities face.

This chaos and lawlessness cannot continue. I’m laser-focused on stopping the destruction, but the real oversight can only come with a Democratic House majority – which is why I’m reaching out:

Please consider chipping in $3 to keep me and Democrats like me in Congress fighting for you. We can’t win the majority without this competitive seat and others like it nationwide.
