Dear John,
Last week, President Trump once again made waves in Washington and across the country with news that he intends to sign an Executive Order to "abolish" the Department of Education.
While the department cannot be completely abolished apart from an act of Congress, dismantling or even just reducing its size could be a game-changer.
For years, this federal bureaucracy has enforced policies that silence parents and flood schools with agendas hostile to biblical truth.
If this initiative succeeds, states and parents will have more freedom to shape the education of the next generation.
Even as people wait to see what Trump will do at the federal level, right now, across the country, a movement is growing to eliminate radical ideologies from public school curricula and bring fundamentals, like the Ten Commandments, back into kids' classrooms.
While fundamental to our nation's founding and a critical part of childhood education in America for many years, in the mid to late 20th century, the Supreme Court began issuing a series of misguided rulings that slowly but surely eroded the influence of God, prayer, the Bible and even the Ten Commandments in public schools.
With God, the Ten Commandments, and biblical truths out of the way, the Left had ample room to push their radical LGBTQ indoctrination plan onto our children.
Now as parts of our culture begin shifting back to common sense and biblical truth, believers like you and me have an opportunity to stand up and help reaffirm the moral foundations on which our nation was built.
Will you stand with us to help bring faith and the Bible back to public schools? Your support today educates lawmakers, equips parents, and emboldens churches to lead this charge.
I STAND WITH YOU
In 2024, the Louisiana legislature ignited a spark by passing a groundbreaking law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in every public school classroom. Governor Jeff Landry signed the bill, stating it was a step toward restoring the moral guidance our children so desperately need.
Governor Landry joined me on Washington Watch after he signed the bill, and further shared, "You can't substitute big G, which is God, for little g, which is government. At the end of the day, the more that we go back to the foundation of what this country was created on -- which are those Judeo-Christian principles -- and as long as we adhere to those principles, the country becomes more safe, less divided, and more prosperous."
Louisiana's spark became a flame as other states -- including Texas, Oklahoma, and South Dakota -- have now taken steps to reintroduce biblical teachings back into their schools.
While much of the news is centered around policy changes for public schools, we cannot only work to reform public schools. Americans ought to have alternative education options for our children where teaching biblical values isn't just optional but central.
FRC has long championed the need for churches to start private schools and launch faith-based alternatives to public education. Schools where God's Word is more than historical context of our nation's founding or a general ethical context -- it is the complete worldview in which reality and life itself are grounded.
Your generosity will expand this effort, providing support and resources like "Why Every Church Should Start a Christian School" to pastors and churches across the country.
When you partner with FRC today, you and I can work to ensure that every child has access to an education grounded in God's truth -- whether in public classrooms or Christian schools.
PARTNER WITH FRC
For decades, we've seen what happens when biblical values are stripped from public education. Dampened moral standards, skyrocketing violence in schools, and a generation that is disinterested in civic responsibility -- these are the fruits of a system that's abandoned absolute truth.
It's time for believers to stand up for our values and our nation's youth.
The Bible in education doesn't just impact children; it shapes the future of our nation. When we equip our kids with God's Word, we're preparing the next generation to lead with integrity, champion morality, and build communities rooted in truth.
This is our moment. The church can't sit on the sidelines while society hangs in the balance.
Together, we can bring God's Word back to the classroom, one school at a time. Let's not miss this opportunity to shape a future where faith, not confusion, guides our children.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support!
