Our SUMMER CHALLENGE is officially underway! The National Committee is ramping up our grassroots fight to convince more lawmakers in Washington that RIGHT NOW is the time to protect and boost Social Security for America's workers and retirees — like Nettie, Alberta and Patricia, the volunteers who we wrote to you about recently. These senior Americans worked hard all their lives, they paid into Social Security and they are counting on their earned benefits to be there in FULL for them in retirement. They represent the reason we fight so hard day in and day out in Washington to protect Americans' retirement security. Without their earned benefits they would not be able to make it!
To scale up our fight in the weeks ahead and defend these programs from unwarranted attacks, we've set a critical fundraising goal of $36,000 by the end of the day on Senior Citizens' Day: August 21 st, to ensure we have the funds we need to wage our fight for your earned benefits! And when you donate by August 21st, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar to DOUBLE your impact!
