Donald Trump and Elon Musk have taken their extreme agenda to a new low—dangerously slashing funding for air traffic controllers and the FAA.

First, days before a plane crashed into the Potomac, Donald Trump fired all the members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee, which is "charged with examining safety issues at airlines and airports."¹ This was notably the first major U.S. commercial passenger flight crash in nearly 16 years.²

Then, the day after the plane crashed into the Potomac, Elon Musk, DOGE, and the Trump administration sent an email urging air traffic controllers to accept mass "buyouts" and leave their jobs.³ Then, a couple of weeks later, they shamelessly began firing hundreds of vital Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staff, including radar and landing-system technicians.⁴

Trump's actions threaten our safety and undermine the ability of air traffic controllers to effectively do their job and protect us. Enough is enough.

MoveOn is launching a bold billboard campaign, demanding that House Republicans put their constituents' safety first and fight back against Trump's reckless FAA sabotage.

If we can raise the funds, our billboards will be placed in extremely visible locations near high-traffic airports across the country, ensuring constituents and travelers see exactly how Trump's dangerous cuts are endangering lives.

Design and install impactful billboards, starting with targeted, highly persuadable Republican districts and political hotspots, and in Washington, D.C. (so Trump can see the ads for himself).
Raise public awareness about the consequences of inadequate FAA funding, including holding Republican lawmakers accountable, flooding them with calls, demanding answers at town halls, and rallying outside their offices if they're too chicken to hold town halls.
Make Republicans see what will happen if they keep making excuses for Donald Trump and Elon Musk's reckless "chainsaw" and "wood chipper" approach to budget cuts—and ignoring the safety of their constituents.⁵
