When Veterans and National Security experts speak, Americans listen. When Veterans and National Security experts run, they win. 2024 was a tough year for Democrats, but VoteVets-endorsed candidates still won 143 victories at every level — local, state, and federal. We know what works, and we’re doubling down.

Our strategy has three components:

First, we’re going to bring our data to bear. Over the last several years VoteVets has built up a massive Voter File, and we use it to target likely Veterans. We’re going to use that data to recruit new candidates.

Second, we’re going to double down on our relationships nationwide. State house and senate caucuses, labor affiliates, and more. We’re going to find emerging leaders and support them as they kick off their careers.

And third, we’re going to staff up on our side to provide support for these candidates. It’s going to take a lot more capacity to manage this process, and we’re going to set up an entire new department internally to run it. Think technical assistance, mentorship, and networking. Whatever these leaders need, we’re going to try to get them.
