I hope you had a chance to listen to our recent episode, A Decade of Reveal, in which we highlight some of our favorite episodes from the last decade. Producing an anniversary show was a great opportunity to listen back through our archives and relive some of the wild, intense, and even occasionally funny moments that happen behind the scenes when reporting a big story. It’s also a chance to celebrate the real-world impact the stories have made.
There are hundreds of people over the years who have contributed to the success of the show. It was great to reconnect with some former colleagues while working on A Decade of Reveal, people who have become like family after years of being in the trenches with them. There was not nearly enough time in one hour to talk about all our greatest hits, or give air time to behind-the-scenes people you maybe never heard of but who made the show possible. We’ve just scratched the surface with this episode.
I’m so honored to have been part of the past decade of journalism at The Center for Investigative Reporting, the nonprofit behind the Reveal radio show and podcast. What more can someone ask for from a job than amazing colleagues, meaningful work that helps people and makes a difference in the world, and the opportunity to make beautifully crafted stories with amazing soundtracks?
For a decade, Reveal has delivered crucial investigative journalism that you won’t hear anywhere else. But we still have a lot of difficult, consequential work ahead of us. That’s why we need your support right now. It’s simple: Without it, we can’t do our job. We need you to help keep us strong.
