Friends,
I’ve written to you about the Republican budget proposal — detailing the deep cuts they want to make to programs that working families rely on to hand over tax breaks to billionaires.
Now, I want to update you on where things stand:
Despite what they may say on TV, Republicans are still actively laying the groundwork for cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP, and to shutter the Department of Education while giving out tax breaks to billionaires. If it passes, we’re looking at trillions of dollars in giveaways to the ultra-wealthy, all while gutting essential services that keep Americans healthy, housed, and fed.
Democrats are fighting back in every way we can.
In the Senate, we’re working to block these harmful cuts and ensure that funding bills protect vital programs for seniors, families, and communities. We are using every legislative tool available to hold Republicans accountable and force them to answer for their choices.
And right now, we need your help.
The more pressure we put on congressional Republicans, the harder it will be for them to advance this agenda. Here’s what you can do:
1. Add your name to my public petition demanding that the GOP protect Medicaid and other critical services. [[link removed]]

2. Call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and tell your representatives: No cuts to Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.
Democrats will continue standing up for working families and fighting for a responsible budget that invests in people, not just the wealthiest few. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Thanks for standing with us.
