John, We’re at a crucial tipping point. Two weeks ago today, the House passed a budget resolution that paves the path for a potential $880 billion or more in Medicaid cuts in order to pay for tax breaks for the ultra-rich. But these cuts aren’t final yet – and together, we can make sure they don’t happen!

Right now, the House and Senate are deliberating over a final budget package, and they need to come to an agreement before anything is final. But first, they need to hear from us. We need to tell our Congress members right now that we won’t accept cuts to our care. Can you take a few minutes to call your legislators and tell them to vote NO to Medicaid cuts?

Here’s a quick rundown of why we’re here: the administration and some members of Congress are trying to extend tax cuts of more than 4 trillion dollars for billionaires, mega-corporations, and the ultra-rich. But to make that happen, they need to make cuts – and they’re putting Medicaid on the chopping block.

I know I don’t need to tell you this, but Medicaid is so much more than healthcare – it’s a lifeline for older adults, disabled people, family caregivers, and direct care workers. Medicaid:

* Provides health care for older adults, children, people with disabilities, and families struggling to make ends meet.
* Pays for the majority of aging and disability care, including home and community-based care.
* Supports the fastest growing workforce in the country paying 70 percent of wages direct care workers providing essential care.

We’re not going down without a fight. We successfully fought back against Medicaid cuts in 2017, 2023, and we’re ready to do it again. John, can you join our fight by calling your elected representatives right now? [[link removed]]

If you’ve already made a call in the last few weeks, that’s okay. We need to keep the calls coming to continue the pressure.

We have so much power when we come together – thanks for joining us in this fight.

With care,
