What we're doing to protect people with diabetes
Over the past few months thousands of you have shared the challenges you’ve been facing during the pandemic – we’ve heard from many people who are finding it difficult to get essential supplies of food and medication, or aren’t feeling safe or supported at work.
We’ve been listening to your concerns and urgently pressing the UK government for more clarity around the risks for people with diabetes. New data was released last month showing that some people with diabetes are at higher risk of serious illness (or death) if they catch coronavirus.
Our message here is clear: People with diabetes must be protected and supported – whether at home or at work – and given clear and consistent guidance on how to stay safe. For our latest coronavirus advice for people with diabetes, and to find out about the work we're doing, please visit our website.
