Another Elon Musk Starship rocket just exploded mid-flight – the second such failure this year. 

As debris fell from the sky and onto people's homes, and the Federal Aviation Administration grounded flights into Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Orlando airports, I could not fail to see the parallel to Musk’s impact upon the lives of ordinary Americans across our nation.

Last week Elon Musk was singled out for praise during Donald Trump's joint address to Congress – to the thunderous applause of the Republicans in the audience. Under his direction, talented and valuable federal workers have been shown the door en masse – including many veterans – as our government is being slashed and burned with absolutely zero thought, care, or strategy in mind. Truly everything about the Trump-Musk administration lacks efficiency, expertise, and empathy.

And now that Musk is purging the government according to his will – and now that Republicans are slashing budget from programs like Medicaid – they are further pillaging the government to make the richest man in the world even richer: Musk's company Starlink has rapidly expanded its footprint throughout the federal government, and he's allegedly trying to take over an FAA contract worth billions of dollars. 

The incompetency and corruption we're witnessing is offensive. The harmful consequences will be real and lasting. Our response, in turn, must be loud and clear: I need every single member of this team to join me in speaking out against Musk and Trump so we can hold this administration accountable: Please, sign my urgent petition right now to show you OPPOSE Elon Musk and his presence in our federal government.
