National Domestic Workers Alliance
============================
John, Domestic workers and care workers are on the frontlines fighting tooth and nail to stop the drastic cuts to Medicaid that have been proposed in Congress – cuts that would put healthcare at risk for 72 million Americans and put nearly one million care workers’ jobs at risk.
We are mobilizing domestic workers and care workers, individuals receiving care, and those affected by potential Medicaid cuts across the country to build unbelievable pressure on the key lawmakers who will cast deciding votes on Medicaid.
This is urgent, John. The negotiations over the future of Medicaid are happening right now , and in order to make our relentless advocacy and on-the-ground organizing a success, we need to ask for your support right now.
John, can you rush a donation to fund the fight domestic workers and care workers are putting up against the assault on Medicaid? [[link removed]]

Our advocacy has already put domestic workers and care workers at the center of the spotlight.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries featured a care worker at a press conference last month in response to Republicans voting to gut Medicaid, and Rep. Nikema Williams invited Alicia, a professional nanny of 25 years, to the joint address to Congress last week.
“I am representing the hundreds of thousands of care workers who care for others’ loved ones while struggling to meet our own families’ needs,” Alicia said. Rep. Williams added, “Care workers make all other work possible.” This is the power of our organizing and proof of our unique position in the fight to save Medicaid.
We are bolstering our on-the-ground work at rallies, stakeholder meetings, and press briefings with strategic digital advertising campaigns to collect stories of care from across the country, a wave of emails and calls to members of Congress, and sharing the stories of care workers like Alicia.
Our work to save Medicaid on the streets, in lawmaker offices, online, and in front of the cameras is an integral part of the campaign to save Medicaid.
John, everything will come down to the next couple of weeks. Can you rush an urgent donation to support domestic workers and care workers and the millions of people who rely on Medicaid? Our continued advocacy against President Trump’s threat to our healthcare and livelihoods is vital. [[link removed]]

NDWA is at the center of beating back this critical threat to our healthcare because this fight is about real people. Millions of parents, children, caregivers, workers, and aging loved ones all depend on Medicaid every day to save lives, and countless numbers of our members depend on Medicaid for their livelihoods.
With our alliance of domestic workers and care workers organizing to protect healthcare and the livelihoods of so many people, we know we can win this fight with your support.
With hope,
NDWA Team

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
