Dear John,

We're really pleased to be getting in touch with you today with great news! Last year we teamed up with activists at Lancaster Animal Protection to help them fight local plans to host another annual 'Reindeer Day'. The day went ahead in 2024, but we have recently seen confirmation that there will be no such event in 2025!

This is huge news for the activists, but most of all, for the animals. Reindeer were transported 300 miles by road to be displayed like props in Lancaster's St. Nic's Shopping Arcade. Thanks to the hard work and determination of the local community, and of supporters like you who made our assistance to Lancaster Animal Protection possible, this exploitation will not take place this year!

Days like today are why we do what we do - every victory is a step towards animal freedom, and we're so grateful to have you on this journey with us. This is a win for all of us at Freedom for Animals, for you our loyal supporters, and for the colleagues we work with at other organisations like Born Free Foundation, Animal Aid, and OneKind.

It's also a great day for grassroots activism, as this could never have happened without the grit and determination of Lancaster Animal Protection, with support from North East Animal Rights!

We attended 'Reindeer Day' last year and saw frightened animals like this juvenile reindeer, crammed into a small pen, surrounded by noise and commotion.

Whether you signed the petition, helped at demonstrations, or donated so we could stand by Lancaster Animal Protection's side every step of the way in this campaign - thank you! You make victories like this possible, and we could not do anything without you!

Yours for the animals,

P.S. Thank you for taking action for reindeer. We will end their exploitation together!
