Dear Friend,
For the second time, President Trump has abandoned climate leadership by pulling the United States out of the Paris Agreement. His actions declare that the U.S. — the world's second-highest greenhouse gas polluter — owes its global neighbors no cooperation or assistance as we watch climate change devastate communities around the world.
10 years ago, nearly every nation in the world signed the Paris Agreement. It declared that climate change is a borderless, universal threat that requires global cooperation. At Earthjustice we know that our past, our present, and especially our future are shared. We refuse to let the United States break its promises and abdicate responsibility for a problem it helped create. Just as we did in 2016, we are ramping up our work at the state and international level, and in public utility commissions to continue defending progress at the federal level.
DONATE TODAY: [link removed]
This last month of executive orders, stripped protections and gutting agencies has only renewed our commitment. Even as U.S. leaders try to back out of the promises our country has made, we know that you – our donors, supporters, and advocates — help Earthjustice keep our promise to protect healthy communities, wild places, and our shared future. Thank you.
Thank you for your partnership.
Sincerely,
The Team at Earthjustice
