Hi there,
Today is Presidents' Day. If you’re like us, you might be spending today thinking about the fact that America has now failed to elect a qualified woman as president TWICE in the last decade alone.
To add salt to the wound, the current President and his administration have brought misogyny and outdated views about gender back to the mainstream. They’ve gleefully rolled back women’s rights to reproductive healthcare, and continue to spread dangerous disinformation about abortion.
At Her Bold Move, we are on a mission to elect women up and down the ballot until we have finally shattered our nation’s highest glass ceiling once and for all.
There are qualified, brilliant women in this country who are just waiting in the wings to bring about real change. The would-be female presidents who have been waiting far too long for their turn to lead. Policymakers who, perhaps, haven’t been recorded bragging about grabbing people by the genitals… We believe these women are out there.
In honor of Presidents’ Day, help us continue to support and uplift incredible, pro-WOMEN women candidates by donating $25 today.

As research from the Wilson Center points out, “Although the presence of a woman in leadership does not automatically ensure positive change, empirical evidence underscores the broader impact of having more women in public decision-making roles. This shift is associated with higher economic growth, improved gender equality, and greater social investment in education, healthcare, and environmental protection.”
Two-thirds of the world’s top 50 countries have had a female leader. As you know, the U.S. is not one of them. Last year, Mexico elected its first female president, Claudia Sheinbaum, making her the first female president in North America. But here’s the thing, women in Mexico didn’t gain the right to vote for president until 1953. Not to mention, as recently as 9 years ago, the country didn’t have even one female governor. Now, Mexico has surpassed the United States in gender parity.
We want to see that kind of progress happen here. That is why Her Bold Move has worked with female candidates from nearly every state in America – and have seen the challenges and disturbing realities women face when they enter politics in this country. On a daily basis, we see how our candidates deal with misogyny, double standards, sexism, and an onslaught of violent and sexual threats.
It’s harder to run for office as a woman – and it’s nearly impossible to combat the deep-seated sexism that has left countless glass ceilings intact for far too long.
As we honor some of the greatest past leaders of our nation, we also want to reimagine Presidents’ Day as an opportunity for reflection. What will it take to finally see a woman in the Oval Office? The work we do at Her Bold Move is getting us closer to an answer to that question.
We’re working with some of the most phenomenal female leaders in the nation – the ones who might have what it takes to be our first-ever female president. We have a chance to make the US a better country for ALL by electing pro-choice, qualified women into positions of power, but we can’t do it without YOUR HELP. Are you in?

Happy Presidents’ Day,

Her Bold Move
Her Bold Move is the fastest-growing support network for women running for office in the United States. Since our founding in 2020, we have supported hundreds of pro-choice, pro-women women candidates across 42 states and counting. As abortion bans and other dangerous laws about women tend to get passed in states with the lowest representation numbers for women in government (4%, 11%, 12%....) we've made it our mission to break the anti-choice male supermajorities in those state legislatures.
