John,
Today is Presidents Day, and activists across the country are protesting the current president. I will keep doing everything I can to defend working people, Black and brown people, immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and other marginalized communities who are under attack from this presidential administration.
In the past few weeks, I’ve spoken up against Trump and Musk’s illegal actions while outside our federal agencies and while inside congressional committees like the House Oversight Committee and the House Financial Services Committee. I won’t let the richest man on earth, who already gets $20 billion in government contracts, steal money from the most vulnerable among us. I will honor my oath to uphold the Constitution and protect our rights while holding these fascists accountable.
I ran for Congress while Trump was president the first time, and despite facing pushback from members of both political parties, we impeached him twice. I will keep resisting the Trump administration’s efforts to push hateful culture wars that endanger millions of people, to cut taxes for billionaires, and to make deep cuts to the critical programs we rely on—like Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, and Social Security.
Will you chip in this Presidents Day so we can keep resisting this president together?

John,
This Presidents Day, we’re resisting this President.
Activists are planning anti-Trump actions all over the country for Presidents Day, and organizations have already been blocking this lawless administration’s actions in the courts. Together we will boycott, march, litigate, mobilize, speak up, and come together in solidarity. We will out-work the hate and out-organize the billionaire class.
In Congress, I will keep doing everything in my power to push back against this administration’s attacks. In the past few weeks, I’ve joined local organizations to share information about immigrants’ rights, to fight for affordable health care, and to protect public education. I joined federal employees outside the Office of Personnel Management to protest the administration’s reckless efforts to dismantle our federal workforce.
In the House Oversight Committee, I voted to subpoena Elon Musk to testify before Congress and explain why a billionaire who nobody voted for is apparently in charge of our government. Republicans blocked that effort, but I will keep pushing to hold Musk accountable. We won’t let the richest man on earth, who gets $20 billion in government contracts, steal money from the most vulnerable among us.
Can you chip in today so we can keep fighting back against this president and his unelected billionaire friends?
As a Congresswoman, I took an oath to uphold the Constitution, which gives Congress control over federal spending and oversight authority over the president. The Constitution lays out a balance of government, which is why the White House cannot dismantle federal agencies without the approval of Congress. By illegally seizing power over our federal agencies, this president and his unelected billionaire friends are creating a constitutional crisis.
I’m pushing back against attacks on agencies like the Department of Education and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which protects working people from getting ripped off. In March, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was set to eliminate $49 billion in medical debt from 15 million Americans’ credit reports. My team and I worked hard to help win this victory, and it’s one we must defend. In this new Congress, I was also appointed to serve on the House Financial Services Committee again, where I will keep demanding a government that puts people over profits.
I’m also fighting back against this presidential administration’s attempt to roll back protections for workers and marginalized communities. Amid the GOP assault on our civil rights, I just re-introduced the Justice For All Act to give people of every background and identity the tools they need to fight discrimination in our communities. I will keep standing up for Black, brown, disabled, and LGBTQ+ Americans, and anyone else targeted by this administration.
Will you help me fight fascism by chipping in $5 or more today? This Presidents Day and beyond, we will keep resisting this president.

Thank you. Together we will keep advocating for an economy that works for working people, health care for all, a livable environment for future generations, and civil rights that are guaranteed to everyone. Even if they try to silence us, we know that as oppression hardens, so does the resistance.
With you in this fight,
Rashida
