[link removed] [[link removed]] Friend, I’ve visited countless high schools and college campuses across our state. As we commemorate this Presidents Day, I think back on those conversations—and our aspirations for a democratic republic that honors the vision shared by President Lincoln of a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

When I listen to young people, I hear a hunger for real, creative problem solving that meets the challenges we face as a state. And I hear a distaste for polarized discourse where people demonize one another rather than collaborate to make government work to serve people.

As Colorado Attorney General, my commitment is to work towards President Lincoln’s vision for our democratic republic. That means listening, working together with communities, and developing creative solutions that make our lives better. And that’s how I will show up in this campaign to be our next Governor.

As AG, I’ve taken on big fights—standing up against irresponsible corporate landlords, defending our fundamental freedoms, preventing gun violence, and protecting our land, air, and water. As I do this work, I am committed to fighting for a better future for young people. That’s why it is important to me to bring them onto my team and into the conversation.

Today, I’m announcing our Student Fellowship Program dedicated to engaging our next generation of Coloradans. Please help us spread the word about this program. Students can sign up here [[link removed]] .

Student fellows will work with our team on campaign events, have the opportunity to work as a campus lead, and volunteer with our campaign in a range of roles (including direct voter engagement). For young people in your life who are looking for opportunities to make a difference, please let them know about this fellowship program [[link removed]] . And if you want to help us support our work with a contribution, we would greatly appreciate it.

At the University of Colorado (as a professor and Dean), as Attorney General, and as a candidate to serve as Governor, the energy and creativity of young Coloradans inspires me. And I recognize that it’s harder than ever to be young—facing rising costs, climate change, attacks on our freedoms, and mental health challenges for some.

Together, we can build a better future for Colorado. Please help us spread the word and share this opportunity with young people interested in making a difference. And thanks for your financial support to run the type of campaign that engages young people and voters in meaningful ways.

Let’s get to work.
