Raise your hand if you think Mitch McConnell has almost single-handedly stopped gun violence prevention bills from becoming law, John?

For decades, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has turned a blind eye to the thousands of Americans wounded and murdered by gun violence each year – rightfully earning him the nickname “Massacre Mitch” on Twitter.  Perhaps not so coincidentally, he’s also accepted more than $1.2 million in campaign contributions to date from the NRA. So, while American’s die, he’s padding his campaign’s war chest.

The good news? An end to McConnell’s stranglehold on the Senate is in sight: He is now in a statistical TIE with his opponent for his Senate seat. And his abysmal 24% approval rating tells us that we have a real shot at ending his reign of terror.

But here’s the bad news: He also just had his best fundraising quarter EVER, and we know the NRA will spend MILLIONS to keep their bought-and-paid-for puppet in control of the Senate.

The road to common-sense gun safety legislation goes through the Senate, and if Brady is going to compete with Mitch McConnell and defeat him this November, we need to hit our May fundraising goal. With one day to go, we need another 150 committed donors like you to give $5 before TONIGHT'S deadline, and we still don’t see your name on the list:

John, if we’re going to defeat Mitch McConnell once and for all and pass life-saving legislation, we need you to give $5 or more right now – or whatever you can spare before our midnight deadline tonight – to elect gun-safety champions to the Senate, prevent gun violence, and save lives.

At Brady, we’re committed to honoring with action.  Together, we can honor the victims of gun violence and send Mitch McConnell home – but only if you give today, John.

Thanks for fighting when we need you the most. The end is truly in sight.

Cordy
