As we continue to stand in solidarity for justice, we want to extend a special invitation to join us for an important statewide virtual teach-in on immigration with Know Your Rights training this coming Thursday that Alliance San Diego is co-hosting with our partners in We Are California. The training will focus on claiming our dignity, exercising our rights, and maintaining safety when interacting with immigration agents. This session is designed to empower our community, reduce fear, and equip us with the tools needed to protect ourselves and each other.

Additionally, we invite you to a Community Walk on Friday to distribute door hangers with critical Know Your Rights information to our neighbors in targeted communities. This will be a collective effort aimed at spreading awareness, building power, and diffusing panic when these encounters occur. Please bring friends, coworkers, and organizations along so we can reach as many people as possible. We will provide a quick training for everyone.

Date & Time: Friday, February 21 from 2 - 4:30pm

Meeting Location: Barrio Logan

What to Expect: Building and helping community in San Diego

Snacks, water, and all necessary materials will be provided at both the training and the walk. Your participation is vital in protecting our community and strengthening our collective ability to respond effectively to law enforcement and border patrol interactions.

This is a group effort. Whether you're new to this work or have been involved for years, your presence will make a difference.

Mientras continuamos siendo solidarios por la justicia, queremos extender una invitación especial para que se unan a nosotros en un importante taller virtual estatal sobre inmigración y sus derechos este jueves organizado por Alianza San Diego conjunto a nuestros aliados en Somos California. La capacitación se centrará en reclamar nuestra dignidad, ejercer nuestros derechos y mantener la seguridad al interactuar con los agentes de inmigración. Esta sesión está diseñada para empoderar a nuestra comunidad, reducir el miedo y equiparnos con las herramientas necesarias para protegernos a nosotros mismos y a los demás.

Además, lo invitamos a una caminata comunitaria el viernes para distribuir carteles en las puertas con información fundamental sobre Conozca Sus Derechos a nuestros vecinos en comunidades específicas. Este será un esfuerzo colectivo destinado a crear conciencia, generar poder y disipar el pánico cuando ocurran estos encuentros. Traiga a amigos, compañeros de trabajo y organizaciones para que podamos llegar a la mayor cantidad de personas posible.
