Last week, I joined MSNBC to discuss Trump’s plan to fire federal workers and threaten the jobs of thousands of Virginians.

Who are these workers? They’re the Social Security workers making sure that our parents and grandparents receive the benefits they’ve earned, the law enforcement officers working tirelessly to protect our country from terrorist threats, and so many others. They are moms and dads. They are neighbors, community leaders, and public servants who are woven into the fabric of what makes Virginia strong. And now, their jobs are at risk.

And what has Virginia’s current leadership done—including our Governor and Lieutenant Governor (my opponent)? They’ve fully backed this plan full stop.

We deserve better. We deserve a Governor who will stand up for the people of Virginia, not cheer on the chaos and division that Trump is spreading.
