Team,
Across Minneapolis, I'm seeing something that's missing from the news reports: People are showing up for each other. Whether folks are passing out food, fire extinguishers, and mutual aid supplies, or organizing clean-up efforts, those actions represent the Minneapolis I know and love.
This weekend, I'm working with Women for Political Change on the ground to pass out groceries, hygiene products, and medical supplies, and supporting the Association for Black Economic Power's Pimento Relief Fund to help Black-owned businesses without insurance relief rebuild after white supremacists set their buildings on fire during the protests.
As these organizations work to help support and rebuild Minneapolis, will you split a donation toward their relief work? Donate: [link removed]
Our city is hurting. We saw a police officer murder a Black man in broad daylight less than a week ago, and since then our communities have been hurt again by militarized force and white supremacists violently infiltrating peaceful protests. But our community's compassion and resilience give us hope.
Women for Political Change and Association for Black Economic Power need help from grassroots supporters to power their relief efforts, so if you can, split a donation today: [link removed]
Thank you for standing in solidarity with Minneapolis. We're going to get through this together.
