Listening to Donald Trump, it’s fairly obvious that he doesn’t actually understand what tariffs are and how they work.
Let me be crystal clear about this, John:
We aren’t out of the woods with a 30 day pause. Trump’s tariffs and impending trade war will mean higher prices for families.
Whether it’s eggs, gas, avocados, coffee, electronics, or any one of the countless things we import, working families will be hit the hardest.
The House GOP will go along with whatever Trump says, so it’s critical that we fight back and start working on retaking the majority in 2026 so that we can counter his dangerous policies. Will you chip in $25 to help keep KY-03 blue and give Dems our best shot at flipping the House?

Tariffs are additional taxes put on imported goods and can be a little tricky to understand, but here’s what it boils down to:
Let’s use Trump’s recent attempt to implement a 25% tax on all goods coming in from Colombia, because they’re an essential partner for importing coffee.
Let’s say a bag of coffee is $10 — a 25% tariff means the cost of getting it into the US goes from $10 to $12.50.
To make up for the added costs, the sellers just mark up the price to make up the difference, passing on the added financial burden onto the customer.
Trump claimed he’d lower costs, but instead eggs are more expensive than ever and we’re charging head-first into a trade war with global allies.
Trump’s policies are wildly unpopular, and we’re sounding the alarm to make sure Americans know who’s to blame. But we need resources to communicate with voters and get them the facts to sow the seeds for big wins for Dems in 2026. Can I count on you to pitch in $25 to help keep KY-03 blue and retake the House next year?
