Dear John,

You may have missed Britney's last email. We need your help to stop the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility” (SAVE) Act, which would be one of the most restrictive voter ID requirements we've ever seen. It only takes a second to stop voter suppression [[link removed]]!

Take action: [link removed]

The SAVE Act would create unnecessary barriers to voting, simply based on unfounded claims of voter fraud. This bill would suppress and silence millions of voters, by requiring every citizen to provide a passport or birth certificate in person to register or update their voter information. Don't be fooled, the SAVE Act is an unprecedented assault on voting rights.

Our democracy only works when everyone has equal access to the ballot box. We can't let the SAVE Act pass. Now's the time to stand up for our access to the ballots. Will you take a few minutes and email your Member of Congress today [[link removed]]?

Tell Congress to vote NO: [link removed]

Our democracy needs you. I hope you'll take a stand.

Sincerely,
Sarah Kline (she/they)

Hi John,

We need your help to stop the harmful “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility” (SAVE) Act, a dangerous piece of legislation designed to make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to register and vote. This bill would enact the most restrictive voter ID requirement this country has ever seen, by requiring strict proof of citizenship, such as a passport or birth certificate, to register or update voter registration. Do you have a second to stop voter suppression [[link removed]]?

Requiring every citizen to provide a passport or birth certificate in person to register or update their voter information would impact all of us. It would especially impact working-class Americans, older voters, women who’ve changed their last name, and those who’ve lost essential documents due to natural disasters. Additionally, SAVE Act presents another barrier for low-income voters and voters from marginalized communities to participate in our elections.

We need your support to stop this attempt at voter suppression. Email your Member of Congress today and tell them to vote NO on the SAVE Act: [link removed]

The SAVE Act isn’t about protecting elections, it’s about creating unnecessary barriers that silence voters and weaken our democracy. Despite claims to the contrary, there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud. It’s already illegal for non-citizens to cast a ballot in federal elections, and states have secure systems in place to prevent noncitizens from voting. During this unprecedented assault on voting rights, we can’t allow bad actors to subvert our democracy, limit access to the ballot, and undermine faith in our elections.

Our democracy is strongest when everyone has equal access to the ballot box. By speaking up, you can help ensure voting rights are protected for all. Will you take a few minutes and email your Member of Congress today [[link removed]]?

Thank you for taking action and standing up for democracy!

Sincerely,
