House Republicans just released their fiscally reckless budget plan, and it’s a disaster for the American people:

They’re proposing raising the debt ceiling by $4.5 trillion so they can afford enormous tax handouts for Elon Musk, Trump, their billionaire donors, and wealthy CEOs and their large corporations. Trillion. With a T.

It would add $3 trillion to the deficit over the next decade, saddling all of us with more debt.

They’re calling to cut education by $330 billion. They’re calling for $2 trillion in cuts to health care—like Medicare.

John, this budget is fiscally reckless and a massive giveaway to billionaires and corporations, and they’re using the American people as a bargaining chip while they take our economy to the brink.

I want to be very clear: hard-working Americans need tax cuts, not robber barons.

House Republicans just reaffirmed their priorities, but let me tell you mine. I'll have no hand in slashing hard-earned benefits. And I won’t stand by as Republicans blow up the deficit, saddle us with debt, and make life more expensive for Americans just to give tax handouts to huge corporations and the richest few to ever walk Planet Earth.
