Dear Friend, remember when this legislative session was supposed to be about passing a budget and providing financial relief for those Louisianians affected by COVID-19?

Well, the legislative session is about to come to an end and the legislative leadership has yet to pass a budget — instead, they've been pushing through legislation on completely separate issues that do nothing but put more Louisiana families behind.

We need to hold our legislators accountable and tell them — do your job and pass a budget. Click here now to help us get our state back to work!

The Coronavirus pandemic has left a $1 billion dollar hole in Louisiana's economy. A bill by Sen. Bodi White, SB 189, would actually gut more than $50 million from New Orleans share of the CARES Act money — money that is supposed to go to helping our local government and essential basic city services get back to work so our city can begin working again. Instead, some legislators clearly care more about corporate profits and padding their friends' pockets.

The legislative session ends TOMORROW. Can you chip in $100, $50, $25, $10, or whatever you can by MIDNIGHT and help us fight for the resources our city needs?
