Friend,
This isn’t a fundraising ask, because there are things more important to address today. Our movement has always been about uplifting our communities and elevating people-powered change. And that's why we stand in solidarity with the protestors in Minneapolis, Louisville, and all over the country.
Today, our country is grieving more Black lives taken by police brutality and the lack of accountability from our government officials.
Black lives matter. And we support the resolution crafted by Representatives Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Karen Bass, and Barbara Lee condemning police brutality, racial profiling, and the excessive use of force.
Will you join Alex in calling for the passage of this resolution by adding your name? We must call out racism and white supremacy in our history and in our country today. In solidarity,
Team Morse
Friend, it has been an excruciating week in America.
We are now facing, once again, the enduring legacy of our racist and inhumane history. That racist history has been passed down from generation to generation, and yet we still struggle to even acknowledge it.
This multi-generational racism is killing Black people before our very eyes. We cannot look away. We must call it out; we must confront our nation’s racism, bigotry, and white supremacy.
I join the people of Minneapolis protesting the murder of George Floyd by a white police officer. And I honor the grief of Black people and Black families across the country, including right here in our district.
Representatives Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Karen Bass, and Barbara Lee have introduced a House resolution condemning police brutality, racial profiling, and the excessive use of force. Will you add your name in support of passing that resolution?
I will never know how Black folks carry on in a country where they are murdered for existing, over and over again, without accountability or justice.
As a white man, I will never have this fear. That is why I am responsible to do my part to dismantle white supremacy.
In solidarity,
