Today is a critical national day of action to protect the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and affordable homes!

As HUD faces significant workforce cuts from the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), we’re joining with national partners in saying “Hands Off Housing!” HUD is at risk of losing half of its workforce, threatening critical programs designed to protect our most vulnerable communities from housing insecurity.

The number of us participating in today’s action really does matter. Please take some minutes to do one or both of the following TODAY:

✅ Contact Your Members of Congress Contact your officials with one click! Urge your representatives in Congress to protect HUD from DOGE’s reckless cuts. Congress needs to hear from you TODAY about why HUD resources are critical to low-income families and communities. (Check out this Federal Housing Tracker to see how many people in your state and Congressional district rely on HUD programs.)

✅ Sign the Joint, National Letter Join the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) in saying “Hands Off Housing!” by signing your organization onto this national letter to Congress. The deadline to sign on has been extended to tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11.
