John,
Though anti-abortion zealots have attempted to coopt the pro-abortion rallying cry, “my body, my choice” [1], we’re here with the simple, straight-forward reminder that being anti-vaccine goes hand in hand with being anti-abortion. [2]
We’ve been writing about the dangerous link between these two groups for years. The work is more important than ever.
The inextricable link between these two ideas is their popularization of fake science and disinformation. From claiming an imaginary danger to vaccines and abortion pills that have both been used safely and effectively for decades to crying “life” at the handful of vaccines made using fetal cell lines that are more than 50 years old, the throughline is clear.
They don’t care about your body. They care about controlling your body. Stop them.
This previously fringe anti-vax movement has leapt to the mainstream with the confirmation of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. Just weeks after his confirmation, there is an unprecedented measles outbreak in Texas. [3]
This is just the tip of the iceberg in what is sure to be years of dangerous medical fallout.
We’re committed to fighting back against all the disinformation from vaccine safety to abortion safety.
Join us.
Sincerely,
Erin Matson

P.S. Anti-abortion or anti-vaccine; it’s junk science.
