Wondering how you can increase your involvement with MCRGO? This month, we're exploring options available to you including social media, legislative advocacy, MCRGO events, and instruction. This week we focus on MCRGO events to attend in person.
MCRGO encourages member participation at its events with discounted event-rate MCRGO membership renewals, the sale of MCRGO products such as the new challenge coins & popular hats that are not sold by mail, and the no-cost distribution of MCRGO promotional items such as pens and decals. Events are a great way to meet and network with your fellow MCRGO members. Some offer membership credit for volunteering.
As a statewide organization, MCRGO hold in-person events throughout the year in all five of its regions. Just as with representation on the MCRGO Board of Directors, these events are roughly balanced by membership numbers in each region. As events are approved by the Board of Directors and scheduling details are finalized, they will appear in the weekly Upcoming Events list at the bottom of this newsletter. The current annual calendar is:
Late January: Lansing Legislative Advocacy Day hosted by Women for Gun Rights
Mid-February: Outdoorama at Novi
Mid-March: Ultimate Sports Show at Grand Rapids
Mid-May: East Michigan Picnic (location varies by host club)
Mid-June: Northern Lower Peninsula Picnic at Gaylord

Early September: Upper Peninsula Picnic (three club rotation)
