Learn how you can make a 'salt and light' impact with FRC!

Dear John,

In the wake of President Trump's inauguration, America is witnessing a political and cultural shift -- a wave of common-sense policies rejecting the Left's ideological agenda.

Now, the question is: How do we respond to this culture-shifting moment?

Just a few weeks after being sworn in as the 47th president, Trump has signed nearly a hundred executive orders, which he said would begin "the complete restoration of America and the revolution of common sense."

His actions protect children from chemical and surgical mutilation, prohibit biological men from competing in girls' sports, terminate all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) mandates in the federal government, enforce the Hyde Amendment to prevent tax-payer-funded abortion, eradicate anti-Christian bias in government, and so much more.

I am encouraged by the overwhelming number of Americans embracing common-sense values, but I also know that public opinion can change quickly.

The next administration could easily reverse Trump's policies. Congress must work to solidify these policy gains by making these orders statutory. Thankfully, ten bills have already been introduced by members of Congress to make these executive actions permanent.

In this cultural turning point, time is of the essence!

With the new administration and Congress, we have an increased opportunity to advance and defend biblical values. But we must stay engaged if we hope to see that become a reality.

Would you consider a gift to help FRC defend the faith on the front lines of public policy and in our culture?

DEFEND THE FAITH WITH FRC

Make no mistake: the Left's attacks on our faith, family, and freedom have not ended. The same architects of woke ideology bemoan Christian voices in the political realm and continue to use scare tactics to discourage our participation.

Yes, as Christians, our primary focus is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20), but Jesus calls us to be "the salt of the earth" and the "light of the world" (Matthew 5:13-16).

The Lord also calls us to "seek the welfare of the city" or nation we live in (Jeremiah 29:7). This was the prophet Jeremiah's counsel to the Israelites in Babylon. Seeking the welfare of our country is about making a "salt and light" impact in times of turmoil or peace.

Yet many Christians don't understand that civic engagement is a biblical responsibility.

At FRC, making a "salt and light" impact in our nation means influencing every part of our culture, including the government and the democratic process. That is why we have developed a new God and Government video course to equip participants with practical knowledge of biblical guidance for government, combined with the Christian history of our nation, and a practical application of both to civil government.

This video-driven series explores the relationship between God and government and answers the question: What role should Christians have regarding government?

This course is the result of my personal journey in studying Scripture, the history of America, and applying that knowledge in the public policy arena. For 30 years, it's been an honor to teach God and Government and watch previous participants go on to hold various offices, from local school boards to city councils and state legislatures -- including current House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.).

God and Government is offered exclusively on our Stand Firm app, where new episodes will be released every Monday from now until mid-May.

This Bible-based training is perfect for parents, students, pastors, future civil government leaders, and anyone who wants to promote biblical truth.

With your partnership, we can provide this valuable resource to equip the next generation to pray, vote, and stand. Will you join us and make a 'salt and light' impact on our nation for years to come?

John, the reality is that change is inevitable in the halls of power in Washington, D.C., and through policy agendas. But the good news is that the remedy for our nation is always found in the Word of God.

As Christians, we cannot confuse a "revolution of common sense" with the foundation of biblical truth.

Joseph Backholm, FRC's senior fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement, rightly warns that we cannot mistake right-wing policies for conservatism. "Our nation was not founded on common sense but on the creation-order understanding that we are endowed by our Creator with inalienable rights."

The time to act boldly is now!

Will you give your most generous gift to equip Christians to live out and defend their faith in their families, communities, and the public square?

Let's encourage the next generation to make a "salt and light" impact -- shining the light of truth and equipping them to defend their faith so that they are ready to pray, vote, and stand by the time the next election rolls around.

Thank you for partnering with FRC through prayer and financial support!
