Your zip code shouldn't determine if you have clean air to breathe.
But with the stroke of a pen, Trump revoked a 31-year old environmental justice executive order signed by President Clinton that mandated federal agencies address environmental and health disparities in marginalized communities.
This means that areas that have been protected for decades risk falling into hazardous environmental conditions, with working class Americans and people of color being hit the hardest.
Historically, these areas have been dumping grounds for toxic pollution, dangerous waste, and hazardous infrastructure. It’s thanks to these protections – which Trump is seeking to end unilaterally – that millions of Americans enjoyed safer water, cleaner air, and overall healthier communities.
John, Trump is rolling back decades of work, and we need your help. Our SEEC members in Congress are leading the fight on all fronts, from opposing environmental justice rollbacks to defending EPA funding and more.
Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.
