John,
America is facing a maternal health crisis — and we need to act now.
Our state’s maternal death rate has quadrupled from 1999 to 2019. Today, Arizona has a higher rate of preventable maternal deaths than the national average. That’s unacceptable.
As a mother and a social worker, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when people are denied the healthcare they need. No parent should have to struggle to get medical care for their child. No baby should lose their mother to a preventable condition. That’s why I’m working to:
- Make 12-month postpartum coverage permanent.
- Expand access to family planning services.
- Protect the freedom to make personal medical decisions.
We need to show lawmakers that Arizonans demand action to improve maternal healthcare. Will you add your name and stand with me in this fight?
Everyone should have access to quality, affordable healthcare — it should not just be a luxury for the privileged. I won’t stop fighting until every Arizona family has access to the care they need, and I hope you’ll stand with me.
Thank you,
Katie
