Christina Gagnier

John,

My name is Christina Gagnier, and I'm proud to share that I’m launching my campaign for Congress in California’s 40th District. This is where I was born and raised, where I teach at UCI Law School, and where I served on the Chino Valley School Board to fight for our kids’ education.

I’m thrilled to share more about my campaign to flip this seat, but here’s the bottom line: with the House so narrowly divided, the outcome here could decide majority control in 2026.

There’s not a moment to waste, and if we don’t fight back now, we can lose everything. If you’re ready to take action, please chip in a split $10 donation between the Voter Protection Project and my campaign.

The country is at a crossroads, and we are nearing a point of no return.

There was a time when families could afford a home on a single income. When I was in college, a summer job could actually help pay for tuition. It wasn't easy, but the American Dream felt within reach.

Now, paying for health care, education, or a home to raise families feels outright impossible for most. Meanwhile, Trump and Musk want to gut more programs our community relies on like Head Start, Medicare, and Social Security.

Instead of solving problems, politicians like my opponent Young Kim would rather follow orders from Trump and his billionaire donors. While Southern California was burning, Kim was at Mar-a-Lago. That’s not leadership – that’s betrayal.

We have to act now, and I’m stepping up because standing up to bullies is what I have always done:

  • I fought back when right-wing extremists tried hijacking our schools while I was on the Chino Valley School Board.
  • I protected children from exploitation as part of the California Attorney General’s Cyber Exploitation Task Force.
  • I’m stepping up again because Trump, Musk, and their enablers think they can tear apart the Department of Education and steamroll our rights. They’re wrong.

This is the fight of our lives. We can either roll over and we let them win, or we can take a stand. If you’re with me, chip in a split $10 donation between the Voter Protection Project and my campaign to send a message that we will not back down.

The Voter Protection Project is on an important mission: To end partisan gerrymandering and voter suppression by electing candidates at the state and federal levels that are forceful advocates for voting rights. Our enfranchisement agenda includes working to ensure that every state has automatic voter registration and online voter registration, convenient early voting, and independent redistricting commissions to ensure politicians are not able to draw their own maps.
