These past few weeks, I’ve joined my Democratic colleagues and allies at protests to save the civil service, fight back against the dismantling of the Consumers Financial Protect Bureau (CFPB), the Department of Education and more. As a former elementary school teacher and fighter for working people, I won’t stand by while Trump and Musk continue their unlawful attacks.
I’m proud to stand with strong leaders such as Governor Pritzker right here in Illinois to protect our state and nation against Trump’s dangerous MAGA agenda.
Trump wants to undermine both our democracy and our Constitution, John. That’s why he’s letting Musk and his fellow unelected cronies set up camp in the White House. We need to take any action we can to stand up and defend democracy, and make sure it works for all the American people.
I will always take action and not let these egregious actions go ignored. But I need your help.
